Directed by John Frankenheimer who staged a real train crash at the end of the movie. They crashed two real trains and it looks great. I have waited a long time to find this film on DVD and it was worth the wait. Frankenheimer is a great director. He directed Ronin and The Manchurian Candidate.

OK, so I'm surprised by all the negative reviews. I'm NOT a "movie person", but I read this book and wanted to watch the movie. Aside from not being set in England like the book, I thought the movie followed the book well and was great. Many of the "negative" reviews didn't watch past the first 10 minutes of the movie.
